The Entrance
Under heavy construction :)
There is so much I want to add. I'll use this entrance as a to do list for now.
There is a degree of 'dreamlike' and 'virtual world' qualities that I want this site to have, so some of these will be named in this way for users, and they will just have to interact to discover what certain things are. On desktop, I could put tooltips for some things.
It is a major priority for me to make this website accessible and responsive across multiple devices. The Entrance page will probably utilize a method like flexbox to be aesthetically pleasing and functional on any sized device...
- Entrance page: Landing page, but it will simply be a page full of clickable buttons/images that lead to the pages available from the nav on most pages after this page. Pref I'll use javascript to do a nav system on the other pages. ALSO, it will contain a little "what's new" area of some kind, and probably also a monthly favorites spotlight of all my favorite things the month prior to the month we are currently in.
- Journal: For blog entries. A dump-all area for anything I want to write about. Preferably should have an organization system like tags or a way to navigate different subjects.
- Treehouse: The about me page. Not sure how intricate or simple it will be yet. I think this have a few subpages... Perhaps the Journal and Wishlist pages could even be subpages of this page, as if stored inside the handdrawn treehouse. ALSO - Collectibles will for sure be a subpage or multiple subpages of this page. I might keep Journal and Wishlist as able to be accessed from the actual page as a virtual interactive image type of thing, even if not actual subpages on the js nav
- Cloud Nine (Appreciation): Dedicated to 'shrine' type of things or rather just a way to dedicate some pages to some of my favorite stuff or random stuff
- River: Page for all art related things, but not writing or music. Painting (whether digital or traditional), inking, sketching and drawing, etc. Even scultpure or crochet or misc.
- Auditorium: Page for original music, mainly experimental, acoustic, and lofi. Experiment with first versions of a tape stack graphic interface.
- Ephemera: A photo album page for usually digital scrapbooking, sometimes traditional maybe. Kind of art journal/junk journaly.
- Amusement Park: Game page. Experimental page for HTML5 games if I can somehow manage simple ones on here with what's available/allowed for free.
- Various secret pages: I'll hide pages throughout the site to be discoverable by people who click on things that look curious.
- Post Office: The guestbook page for people to send me messages, reply to other's messages, and for me to also reply. Make sure it has basic structure of letting ppl share their own website if desired. I also would like it to have a heart system above the comments, but instead of hearts they are flowers given, just like with the photo/art/writing galleries etc. Pref would be great if there was a safeguard against the buttom being able to be spammed. So only 1 person can give flowers, to track how many unique people gave something a 'like'.
- Creative writing page. Poetry, short stories, essays. I'm not sure what to visualize it as... I suppose it could be a 'library' but that seems too generic. Might just literally be called Creative Writing Room or smth.
- Wishlist: Vision boards, actual shopping lists for things to save up for
- Logbooks: pages for Books, Movies, Series, and Misc, in that order as subpages of the landing page. These vary from the favorites page in that they are not necessarily things I always loved, but they are things I read/have watched or consumed as media. Star ratings and reviews won't be required but some things might be, depending on my mood. Some things won't even be included, even if I watched it, if I hated it or something. Or I could make a 'detest' list lol.
- Animations: a place to showcase gif or apng animations and video animations that I personally have made. I might call it Cinema in the future when I actually have animations that are longer than 30 secs on it. Until then, it might just be called Flipbooks.
- Comics: Where I will store stuff about my comic projects. It may not exist right away as my original ideas/comics. Instead, on neocities, I think I may use it for comic artists that inspire me, for storing webcomics and comics that Inreally enjoy reading myself, and for blog entries about things I'm working on to make my comics a reality.
- Higher Education Parlour: Idek if this is going to be the official name for it, but this could be a page for history, geography, languages, and anything to do with my personal educational pursuits that are more hobbies than professional. So, not exactly for art or writing or music, as those can be in the Journal and Auditorium and Creative Writing pages. But moreso for anything else. Including health and fitness studies!
