✨ Welcome, Adventurer! ✨

11/27/2025: I got all the pages made as their bare bones with little notes to self on each page. So the sidebar menu works now and has clickable pages to go read. But you have to still use your browser's back capability to go back, as I have not done anything else yet. Ahh, but I love it.. Even with all the flaws I see and have listed in my brain, I love this place... Now that I got all that done, the next step is for me to start on the journal page just so I can get it kinda started. I will also eventually make this main page nicer, and maybe I'll move these notes to the 'devlog' eventually, as a record of my prehistoric Victoryanna days. But for now, I like them being on the main page, so any visitors, like you (I'm guessing?!), know what's up right away :)

These are some of my favorite things right now:

11/22/2025: OMG I DISAPPEEEEEARED. I'm still thinking baot this place alll the time... I messed up my VS Code and had to reinstall it and then I got really sick and I'm still kind of sick *cough cough*-- that was a literal coughcough. Um, anyway. I have a lot to do, I literally just didn't do anything here for 3 weeks. But it's okay. This little world will come to life eventually hehehe. Everything is ready to go now. I just have to wake up tomorrow and work on what I want to now. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

10/27/25: Sup. Victoryanna here. Has it really been 5 days? Damn... I did get more done but I transferred everything over to VS Code and am working on the bulk of it there as I thought it would be more reliable for instant feedback on all the changes. Saves me a lot of headache. BUt it also added more head aching because of browser parsing issues happening with the hamburger menu unordered list UGH. I spend all of the day before yesterday trying to restructure it, fix it. My HTML looks so flawless and organized now... Better than these 2 files for sure. There ARE some solutions for this, but I'm taking a little break.
I think the next thing I want to work on more than the menu is the journal page anyway... And it's not like I need the navigation system to do that. Is this boring? I'm sorry... Hey, if you are interested in following me to see what this site becomes, do follow me at My Profile Here. It's something I didn't even realize I myself could do for other's until recently. I've just been bookmarking my favorites of them on my phone and my iPad... not very well organized, either.
This website is a prototype for when I can afford to buy my web hosting, probably with wordpress and hostinger or somethingm because I'll probably desire a Content Management System in the future with a site like this. In the meantime though, I have super fun plans for this one, and I hope to make it interactive and fun for everyone else besides me who visits it too. Think text and image based virtual world vibes (I repeat: not a virtual world, just the vibes... I ain't Wonder Woman), HTML5 games, short stories and maybe even a nostalgic longform y/n story just for kicks, secret pages that you have to search for or decipher puzzles to unlock, etc. And all wrapped in what I want to be decent art and responsive and accessible web-design, at least to the breadth of my capabilities. I'm here for the long-haul, and I'm keeping it realistic while also aiming for the stars ;)

10/22/25: I got the themes working but I still have a lot of CSS stuff to do. There is no other page that exists yet besides this one lol. I eventually would love to get the Journal page working because then I can make actual entry updates, but I want to get this first page looking nice first. Also... for now, there won't be any pictures because I have to draw 11 illustrations for the locations in the Explore area, but I'll try to still make it cute once I get its carousel done, even text based with an image placeholder for now.

Earlier, undated: Still under construction :) I am so tired so I probably will be going to sleep soon. I haven't really done anything but learn and plan today, but hopefully I can make this functional tomorrow even if it's not exactly pretty yet ;-;

Treehouse Journal Stop and Smell the Loti

Example journal entry: I'm looking forward to ice skating this winter, but I'm not looking forward to the ice on the roads. (Will only take the first few words of a recent entry from Journal page before ellipsing)...

Another example: These would not be written here technically, but this is where text from other locations would be inserted with JavaScript somehow, so that 4 slots are always available to show what was most recently added to those pages. Maybe dates will be able to be the logic from which it orders them. And that would mean it can only get posts that have dates attached to them (which, to be fair, will be practically everything).

The link will have to be dependent on where the content is coming from as the most recent to generate here... Idk I'm so tired I'm just putting these as placeholders.

I really wouldn't mind pizza right now despite being allergic and sensitive to dairy... but... you know what they say about lactose intolerant people.

Monthly Spotlights

October

This will probably be loaded in from a folder that contains the monthly spotlights. naming sequence could be 25-12-spotlight.html for example, loaded in with JS... YY-MM-spotlight.html. In reality, this will be a content empty div in this file

Book

Example book I loved in a past month

Animal

Animal I love this month with an original illustration of said animal. Most all of these will have little images near them, kind of like stickers. It's not meant to be super in depth or anything, just what the thing is, a picture of it possibly, and maybe MAYBE a brief explanation why I put it in my faves that month.

Song

The name of it and the artist's name, and a little original doodle that matches it somehow

Game

Whatever game I loved most that month. Right now it's honestly Wylde Flowers, but I love that game every month.

Quote

By the way, these are not going to be the same every month necessarily. It will change based on what I actually thought of as my favorite things in a month.

Food

If one month I had no favorite quotes or books, for example, they wouldn't be here.

Recent Thought

And sometimes it can be as specific as a favorite workout on YouTube or something.

🩷 Explore 🩷

Down here is basically a reflection of the top... 2 colums below the Explore area.

The one on the left is going to be "The Oracle" (homepage interactive thing that gives you one of the following depending what setting it's on when you click its stuff: affirmations to repeat, compliments, or a random message like a fortune cookie!

The one on the right is going to be the Guestbook snapshot of the 5 or so most recent messages with the person's name and website listed, and if someone wants to leave one themselves, it will have a "Go to full guestbook" link at the bottom. The top will have a little intro message and a thank you for visiting message and maybe some cute icons or something. It will be a scroller box. The guestbook will be modded lightly, as in, I'll mod things after they're posted by deleting anything inappropriate or spammy lol

The last section is going to mirror the one at the top, the welcome/introductory section, but it contains something very different. I want it to be a fashion mini-game type of thing, but I have no idea how that will work yet. I don't want it to be complicated... Just cute, like Pizza Party Pickup, but playable with tapping/clicking only so it's mobile compatible, and you have a goal of maybe collecting various fashion things instead of pizza party stuff, and you have to complete 10 levels to win :) idk. It gives me an excuse to dedicate a piece of the front page to my fashion doodles and OCs. I don't want it to be a dress up game yet, that's a little complicated for me rn... This game might be in the amusement park page as well but it will always be on the homepage too. Preferably doesn't load unless interacted with and "start" or "play" is clicked. Could also just be an area for a "Game Spotlight", to showcase whatever game is most recent or that I love the most.

The very bottom will have the footer, which will be loaded in from a footer file
